There will never be a more meaningful relationship then the one I have with my husband! I adore this guy and he equally adores me but in any relationship it takes a lot of work to feel that adoration all the time! You can’t just wake up every morning and feel like you did when you were dating and shared your first kiss. Love takes meaningful effort, on purpose actions and deliberate attention and that’s why this year I’ll be focusing on the word “Us!”
Two little letters that when put together mean the world to me. “Us!” We never really say that word much if you think about it… “You, me, him, his…” We think about each other as two separate people most of the time but together we are “Us.”
I want to do more for us. I want us to be closer. I want us to go on dates. I want us to be each others biggest fans, loudest cheerleaders and each others soft place to land! So this year I’ll be thinking about ways to keep us in this blissful state we’re in, how to help us grow as a couple and as parents and how to give us more time together! Sound cheesy I know but really I can’t think of a better thing to focus on!

I think you chose wisely!!! My Hubs and I thought long and hard about that one some 15 years ago and it has paid off. Its the little things in life together that make life so sweet!!!

My word to focus on this year is “me”. I just got out of a four-year relationship where I tried to work on the “us”. So, the focus will be on me this year. Trying to figure out what I want and what I need. Happy New Year!

Good word! Mine for the year is “thoughtfulness.” So often I get caught up in the craziness that is my life that I forget all about the people I love that live just outside of my little bubble. I’m going to work on keeping up with my family and friends and showing them I care. Ideally my thoughtful attitude will extend to total strangers and lead to random acts of kindness… even if it is just posting comments on blogs I follow! Happy New Year!

I’m a spastic kinda gal always digging in to things and bouncing all over. Im also on journey 4 for IVF. I need to relax and not be so stressed over everything under the sun.

I don’t have a word as of yet and would like it to be a family decision instead of just mine. If I were to pick one for just me however it would be growth – Growth in faith, Growth in trust, Growth in love, Growth in giving, Growth in accomplishments. Duh!!! Why can’t we have a family one and a personal one too?

My word for 2012 is DO. I’ve always got a running to-do list of things I want to do, make, try, etc. This year I’m going to DO those things, not just write them down or pin them on a Pinterest board.

Since I am not married and have alot of stress and I’m very insecure with myself I think my word for the New Year is going to ME! I want to spend time working on ME, I want to work out on ME, I want to loose alot of ME! I didn’t get to go to the gym as much as I wanted and needed to this past year because of many family problems we had. But this year in order to help others I definetly need to take care of ME first and feel good about ME. How can I let others love ME if I don’t?!
Thanks for the idea of the WORD goal for the year instead of list of wishes or goals that like you said…”won’t get done” or make ME feel like crap for not accomplishing!

I like the “us”. I’ll be married 52 years this year and am still working on “us”.
My word this year is listen…so many times we are trying to jusify what we do or think that we don’t really listen to what God or the other person is telling us. Not what they are saying but telling us. How can we hear if we don’t listen.
