32

Here I am. I’m 32 and this is what I look like without make up.

I have fine lines around my eyes and uneven skin! My hair is kinky on the bottom and stringy on the top! I look like a 32 year old….not a 24 year old and I LOVE that!

I’ve always loved getting older! I remember when I turned 15 I was thrilled to be half way to 30. I’ve always been ok with my birthday. I can’t ever imagine being someone who lies about her age or dreads tacking on another year!

Aging celebrates growth and lessons learned. It gives value to struggles and even more value to triumphs. Every candle on a birthday cake is earned and should be adored!Think of what you’ve learned, accomplished and survived through over your life time!

I’m 32 and half way to 64 and that makes me smile!

As long as people keep saying I look younger than I am, I’m okay. LOL! I turned 40 last year and it didn’t hurt one bit. I was just telling my hubby the other day, with age comes wisdom. Growing up I always “looked” older than I was because I was very tall. Now that I’m an adult it’s switched a little and I’m okay with that. Ha! Ha!
Oh and I very rarely wear makeup. I just don’t really think about it unless I’m going on a date with my hubbalicious or something.
    Have a beautiful day.

Happy Birthday! I recently turned 30. All my friends dreaded leaving their twenties, but not me. I agree with your thoughts about age.

I feel exactly the same! When I was little and grown ups asked me what I wanted to be I’d say “Thirty!” I’m almost 34 and loving it!

You look beautiful. I am 48, halfway to 96. I love that. I have tiny wrinkles, my skin is a bit drier than it once was, and I have gray, but less than my younger brother. I have great friends, busy teens, a good job, and I like who I am. I am glad to find that you like who you are as well. ~Kelly

Oh yes!… I have finally arrived at an age (44) where I am actually quite happy with what I see staring me back in the mirror… that feels great! People tell me I don’t look my age- whatever that means.. I perfer to think that I look good for my age. Celebrate!

I need to hang out with you more, then maybe some of your excitement at getting older will rub off on me. I am SO not happy when my birthday rolls around, though when I do hit 40 I will have all my kids in school full time. Now that’s something to look forward to! You look fabulous at 32!

  24. 24

Refreshing! Amen to your positive attitude and honesty! Love it :)

I wish I shared your opinion on aging! I am TERRIFIED of it, always worried about wrinkles on my face and parts of my body getting saggier! I don’t know why, it happens to everyone, I need to just embrace it! There are many beautiful older women, I just wish I knew I’d be one of them! Anyway, you are beautiful without makeup, and your eyes look like they have liner and mascara…jealous! Great post, it inspired me!

Happy Birthday! What a great post and great attitude!

I’m 34, although I have to calculate it whenever I’m asked because it just doesn’t mean that much to me anymore. The older I get, the more comfortable I am with who I am, and I love it. There is no way I want to go back to my high school and early 20s insecurities.

  27. 27

Well, I must say… You look DARN good….. :-) And, you have a lovely philosophy about aging… Hmmmm…. that would make me 60 1/2 way to 120???

    Blessings,
    Spencer

Great post! I love your thinking. You look beautiful – with or without makeup! I’m 27 and I’m not one to be dreading 30. Thought I have to agree with the first comment… as long as people tell me I look young (I still get confused for an 8th grade student at school), I’m okay! :)

I love you Becca! You rock.

I hit 30 in October, and I still can’t say or type it without gagging a bit. It’s nice to hear your perspective! I have a lot to learn from you (as always). ;)

Happy Birthday! I’m like you-I wear my age like a badge. Year year equals wisdom gained.

  33. 33

Happy birthday a day late! oh it would be lovely to be 32 again. Hope it was a great one! =)

  34. 34

I love how you embrace it!

ps. It wasn’t your birthday, was it?!

  35. 35

Thank you for being positive about growing older! So many people are not-I mean, look a the racket out there for products to make us look younger! I just turned thirty and I was thrilled, though many of my friends my age are freaking out. I am looking forward to growing as a person and not being concerned with the stupid things that mattered in my 20s!
