I found these shoes at a thrift store the other day. . .
Good as new, Old Navy, $6.
But they’re kinda boring.
SOOOoooo. . .
I cut two strips of fun fabric and hemmed them.

Then I bunched them up like this:

And sewed them along the edge:

And then [kinda wrapping the ruffles underneath the top edge of the shoe] I hand-stitched them to the top of the flats:

It took about 10 minutes total.

Those are super cute! What a difference a ruffle makes.
I actually just saw your mirror tutorial on crazy domestic and loved it. I've always wanted to do that to one of my mirrors but never had the courage. Way to go. The shoes are super cute too.
