Show and Tell with "Bronzed Envy!"

Oh my word!! I tell you what friends! Talk about the perfect timing for this weeks giveaway! I am so thrilled to introduce you to a new friend and her amazing business!

This time a year as we all start boxing away our sweaters and giving into the fact that we should probably shave our legs again( I’ve loved getting away with skipping that chore!! I know I’m not the only one!) we are all to quickly reminded that our skin has been hibernating for the last 4 months! YIKES!!! White, freakishly abnormal, and not so attractive skin tones! Not exactly the look we’re going for!

And if any of you are like me, and I hope you are, you too gave up the sun years ago in hopes to not look like beef jerky by the age of 35 and to avoid the dreaded “C” word! The sun scares me! I grew up on the beach and tan like an all star! That’s what American Indian heritage will do for a girl! I used to love it but about 9 years ago I got wise to the dangers of the sun and ever since then have been a loyal SPF fan and on the hunt for the perfect self tanner!

That leads me to today’s special Guest! Meet Blakeley! She’s the owner of “Bronzed Envy!” It’s an amazing company that offers self tanning products and Self tanning services!

Remember the good old days of Tupperware Party’s! Well fast forward to today’s modern trends and you guessed it! “Self tanning party’s!” A mobile service that comes to you and makes you look INCREDIBLE! Can you imagine!

Now I realize Blakeley can’t drive cross country to spray us all down! She has some incredible opportunities for woman like her to get in on the action! Here she is herself to tell us more…

My name is Blakeley and I live in Austin, TX. I am a stay at home mom of two boys. I always knew I wanted to start my own business, but I didn’t quite know what. After doing some researching for a family member about safer, quicker ways to tan I came across Airbrush Tanning. I instantly fell in love with the idea and wanted to start my own Mobile Airbrush Tanning Service. I started Bronzed Envy in October 2008 and the rest is history. People were calling right away! I make my own hours, and am able to be home for my kids during the day. After 4 months I had to hire my fist “helper” and after 6 months, I was so busy I couldn’t believe it! This service is so popular and women all over the place are attaching the word “addicting” to this service. All it takes is ONE tan and you are addicted! The results are a natural toasted almond bronze, with NO orange or red undertones in the solution! I know, because I’ve developed the color myself. I knew exactly what my clients were looking for, and what I couldn’t find in a solution. I have clients coming to me after trying other places and stay with me mainly because they adore my color! I want to share this great opportunity with other women as well. I believe its the perfect business for stay-at-home moms wanting some extra income, or someone just like me, looking for something unique to start of their own. Its a fun, easy, low investment and high profit business! Make your own hours, be your own boss, and stay as busy as you would like! I can help you with everything you need to get started. Please feel free to check out my website or email me for more information!

You can also purchase products on her site that you can easily apply yourself! It’s all been perfected so no crazy skin tones and nasty smells going on! Be sure to check out her Self tanners and other products for sale HERE!!!!

**** Her site for some reason is down so please email orders to:
blakeleysmart@yahoo.com

It’s the next best thing to an airbrush tan! It will give you an instant tan/color right away AND also develops into a darker tan over the next few hours! This stuff Rocks and is a best seller!!

    Hi Becca,

I really like your blog. The Bronzed Envy is very intriguing. I only wish there was pricing for the business opportunity portion (or is it there and I just missed it?)
Anyway, I think it's a fantastic idea ~the spray tan~my poor old skin can't take the sun and it would be interesting to see how this would work on "mature" skin.

Ha! This post made me laugh,…just because I have had some tanning nightmares in the day. How about the first time I went to a 'spray tan booth' and put on my little hat to cover my hair? I put the elastic on my forehead instead of back at my hair line and had a nice orangey line across my forehead for weeks. Oh,…and I forgot to cover my hands with that lotiony stuff. I looked like a cheetah. -oh boy. Lesson learned. :) -Thanks for a chance to win.

i haven't tried sunless tanning to much for fear of the horror stories. I did have orange palms and toes once or twice.

The first time I went into a spray booth I didn't understand what they meant by "put on this shower cap but leave a little hair peaking out. I left a strand down and wound up with a white streak on my face. Then while brushing my teeth later that night, I had a few water drips down my arm and it washed the color right off. I did learn that rubbing in lotion helps to blend out the lines.

My worst tanning experience… since the tanner didn't have a tint to it, I couldn't tell how much I was putting on where. My horrible umpa lumpa story is not about me but my sister (we were together so it counts)…

We went bronzing before going out several years ago. She decided to not follow all of the rules with blotting, waiting, and not sweating.

A few hours and a lot of dancing later…I look at her and her white dress was covered in orange drippings. I look up and her face is literally melting. She cried, I took photos, we left and now on days when she is sad — I pull out the photos. It was a great time!

  52. 52
    Lisalulu says:

my sad tanning moment was… I was 49 years old, recently divorced and starting to date. I wanted to look a little bit sunnier… so I went to a spray on tanning booth. Being the whitie/albino I have NEVER tanned in my life, why waste the time. So I told them I was just there for a LITTLE color. They don't have a button for a little color, you just get the 'beginner' button. For a week I was scrubbing and scrubbing my face and hands. I WAS a 49 year old pumpkin.

well we were having a bunch of friends over for a pool party and I wanted to look tan…I went to the store and bought a self tanner…..well it left me orange and scaley looking (like snake skin!!) I tried to cover it up a little wearing some shorts…well as soon as I put my legs into the pool my "Tan" washed off!!! So part of my legs were orange. and the other half was pasty white!!! Everyone could tell and I got "harrassed" the rest of the day. I was so embarassed!!
